Do Silk Pillowcases Really Help Hair?

Can I Wash Silk Pillowcases?

Yes....we recommend using a non-biological detergent that does not contain optical brighteners, bleaching agents or enzymes. These may damage the fabric and cause it to pill (bobble). Note that some brands of non-biological detergents may contain optical brighteners. We recommend ecover . Avoid stain removal products.

What About Low Cost Silk Pillowcases? 

You can buy cheaper but look at for the following. Is it 22Momme? If its not it will wear out so much quicker, Is it Charmeuse Weave (a much more durable and luxurious weave than Habotai or Satin)? Is it 100% Silk or does it have a cotton backing?
